Peddie Math Club
Welcome to the Peddie Math Club Website! We are a group of students passionate about spreading the love of mathematics to the Peddie community.
Events
We plan on holding a multitude of fun events over the school year. Click on each link to learn more.- Math contests and competitions, including the AMC and COMC
- Casino Night, a yearly Math Club tradition, on TBD
- The following student presentations:
- Jerry Liu will present about his mathematical research on TBD
- Jerry Yao will present about his Rubik's Cube career on TBD
- We might hold tutorials for various Peddie math classes based on demand, though this may not be needed as there are almost no final exams this year
- We will have \(\pi\) festival on \(\sqrt[3]2\) day (Jan 25), with the following events:
- Pie-eating contest
- Pi-shape baking - make collab with cooking club to bake p
- Pi-scavenger hunt - mini scavenger hunts in a room
- Pi-games - play fun math games at different locations
- Pi-lecture - host a small math lecture related to approximation of \(\pi\)
- (Unfortunately, Pi day is during spring break)
- Blind date for STEM (Math, CS, Science and Engineering) students
- Math Bee/Integration Bee on TBD
- Guest Speaker Presentation on TBD
- School trip to Princeton to attend fun lectures on TBD
- Tutoring opportunities, including tutoring at the local elementary school
- Library tutoring opportunities
Problems of the Week
We will try to add three problems at the MPS2, Pre-Calculus and Calculus levels.
